From prehistoric times, the horse has played a vital role in the lives of humans. This interaction lead to the development of distinctive horse cultures in many areas of the world.
The horse was honored using several mediums, including cave wall paintings, wood, clay and metal. Modern day Artisans continue to honor the horse. My contribution is the Spirit Horse Stick. Each Spirit Horse Stick is hand-carved from cottonwood, and is uniquely embellished with a variety of adornments - horsehair, leather, nail heads, felt cloth and feathers. What makes my Spirit Horse Sticks truly unique is the added hitched horsehair on the neck section. No two Spirit Horse Sticks are the same. In-stock Sticks available, or custom order one - your own horse's hair can be used and distinctive markings added. Consult with me on hitched horsehair colors and patterns.
